These lacy socks featured in the online magaz
ine Tangled have an adaptation of an old lace stitch with fuchsia heads as well as twining vines with leaves winding their way up the outside and back of the leg. The unique combination of these lace patterns is perfectly mirrored on the matching sock so that the flower heads face the opposite way and the placement of the vine is reversed. The socks are knitted toe-up from a provisional cast on with short row toes and heels. A delicate picot edge finishes the top of the sock.

Measurements
Actual leg circumference: 8.25 (9, 9.75) inches [approx 21 (23, 25) cm]; Stretches to fit up to leg circumference approx: 10 (11, 12) inches [25 (28, 30) cm].
Gauge
30 sts x 40 rows over 4 inches (10cm) in pattern on larger needles, with work laid flat, slightly opened. Do not stretch. Gauge is post-blocking.

Yarn - Knit Picks Stroll Tonal Sock (75% Super-wash Merino wool, 25% nylon; 462 yds [422 m]/3.5 oz [100g]; CYCA 2): 24909 Summer Blooms 1 (1, 2) skeins.
Needles
Size US 1 (2.25mm) set of 5 dpns or circular(s); Size US 3 (3.25mm) set of 5 dpns or circular(s) (Optional); Crochet hook size C/2 (2.75mm) for Provisional Cast On. Adjust needle size(s) to obtain correct gauge.
