Unexpected popularity

The original from the 60 Quick Baby Knits book

When the Vogue team first asked me to design this for one of their baby knits publications they asked me to make it in pale grey with a dark grey contrasting edge. This will never catch on, I thought, they are not baby shades. But it has been surprisingly popular and knitters have had the imagination to customise in gorgeous brights with embellishment and embroidery.

The marled handspun style yarns versions above were featured in Ravelry's Community Eye Candy on their blog. I might just use my own wordless blog posts in the same way to show my favourite versions knitters have made from my patterns. I could call it 'erssie on the eye'.
