Pearmain Rubinette
Textured Slouchy Beanie
Pearmain is knitted in the round in a fancy rib pattern called Beaded Rib. The ribbed stitch is easy to do and produces an interesting fabric with two different sides.
Size
Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large)
Shown here in size Medium.
To fit head circumference
20 (21, 21½, 22, 23) inches
50.8 (53.3, 54.6, 55.9, 58.4) cm.
The smallest size will fit a teenage girl and the largest will fit an adult male.
Gauge
18 sts x 24 rnds over 4 inches (10cm) in Beaded Rib
Materials
Yarns
Wool, Silk Alpaca Blend (or any aran/worsted yarns)
96 yards/50g ball
2 x 50g balls
Needles
1 long or 2 short circular needle(s) or 1 set of 5 dpns
size US8 (5mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
1 stitch marker or small loop of yarn to mark beg of rnd
1 tapestry needle for weaving in ends
Optional: Card or pompon maker for pompon if desired

Rubinette
Textured Slouchy Beanie
Rubinette is a loose, modern beanie knitted in the round in a textured check pattern that is as easy to do as rib but looks really effective as a fabric. As the pattern is reversible, it is worked with the WS facing out and decreases carried out on this side which, when turned inside out neatly disappear into the pattern.

Extra Small (Small, Medium, Large, Extra Large)
To fit size 20 (21, 22, 23) inches or 51 (53.5, 56, 58.5) cm head circumference.
Gauge
18 sts x 24 rnds on size 5mm needles over 10cm/ 4ins

Merino Silk Blend (or any Aran/Worsted yarn )
164 yards/100 gram
1 x 100g balls
Needles
1 long or 2 short circular needle(s) or 1 set of 5 dpns
