See full details for each below.
Blitzen is first in a series of hats to celebrate one of the eight Sabbats; Hats for Sabbats. This one is for Yuletide. It is a traditional Nordic style cap but updated with a modern slouchy shape. It has very festive borders but could be worn all year round. It is the first of a series Wheel of the Year Knits; eight projects inspired by the eight Pagan sabbats. The brim is knitted in a half-twisted rib to give definition, sturdiness and warmth. The two-colour motifs of reindeers, snowflakes and Nordic flowers are knitted fairly tightly using a Fair Isle or stranded technique.
